Photographing a bride as lovely as Liesel is always a pleasure. She got dressed at Andanté guest house in Rayton Avenue and this was a powerful combination. Lovely bride + lovely setting = awesome photographs! Yeah! Louis & Liesel got married at Oliewenhuis Art Museum – One of Bloemfontein’s top wedding venues and one of my personal favourites. The previous time we photographed a wedding at Oliewenhuis it rained cats and dogs. What’s great about Oliewenhuis is that whether it rain or not, there’s always a setting somewhere where you can take photographs. This time we hoped for better weather and we got it – this allowed us to use Oliewenhuis’ garden to it’s full potential. Liesel also gave one of the most beautiful speeches about her parents that I’ve ever heard at a wedding – truly very deep and everyone was filled with emotion. Poor Louis had to face his friends during his speech – I almost felt sorry for him (the photographs are evidence of what he had to endure).
